JERRY SISEMORE (OT-OG. Eagles 197384) lives on Lake Travis, north of Austin, Texas, where he owns a marina and works in real estate. He's also minority owner and spokesperson for a submarine sandwich franchise which has thirteen locations throughout central Texas. Sisemore is married and has five children. An All American at the University of Texas, Sisemore was the third overall selection of the 1973 NFL draft. He ranks fifth in Eagles history in seasons of service (12) and games played (156). During one stretch, Sisemore started 127 consecutive games. Sisemore was twice voted to the Pro Bowl (1979, 1981) and helped transform the Eagles from a consistent sub-500 team to a championship contender. "What a ride that was," he said. "It was very special, and it started with getting (head coach) Dick Vermeil. I remember he was a running specialist at UCLA, so the first day of training camp, he conies in and says, 'guys, this is how you run,' and we ran up and down the field. That was day one with Dick Vermeil-start with the basics. And we wound up in the Super Bowl."
IKE KELLEY (LB, Eagles 1966-72) lives with his wife in Columbus, Ohio, and for the past 31 years has worked for Worthington Industries, a diversified metal processing company, first as a salesman and then in the human resources department. A 17th round draft pick from Ohio State, Kelley became a fan favorite for his reckless abandon on special teams. Eagles home games often featured "Kelley's Killers" banners heralding the hard-hitting captain of the special teams. "1 loved the Philadelphia fans," Kelley said. "I'm probably one of the few guys who played in Philly who never got booed. Fans could tell I wasn't playing for the money. I made more my first year in sales than I ever did (with the Eagles). What I enjoyed most was the game itself. I also loved my teammates and the coaching staff." Kelley believes that the overall caliber of athletes has improved in pro football, but that the game remains fundamentally unchanged. "A lot of people say today's game is more complex, but I don't really buy that;" he said. 'You still have the same basics of blocking and tackling.
