KEN HARVEY (LB. Cardinals and Redskins 1988-98) lives in Great Falls, Va. with his wife and two children. He is vice president of iKoya, a company that produces commercials, documentaries and other programming for television and the internet. He also serves as president of the NFL Alumni Washington Redskins Chapter. "I miss the feeling of achievement you get playing in the NFL," Harvey said. "I enjoyed the every-day competition because it was a new opportunity to prove your self. Every day, every game, every season, you could look forward to having the opportunity to do better." A first-round draft pick in 1988, Harvey went on to earn four straight Pro Bowl invitations (199497). In 1994, he became the first Redskins player to lead the NFC in sacks when he logged 13.5 sacks. "My first sack was against (Dallas Cowboys quarterback) Troy Aikman," Harvey said. "I'm from Austin, Texas, and my parents were at the game. It doesn't get much better than that." Harvey's 1 1-year career was split roughly in half playing for the Cardinals and Redskins, but he has no doubts about which football environment he preferred. "Playing in Washington was kind of an eye opener," he said. "The whole town almost shut down on Sundays. If you played for the Redskins you became sort of a mini-movie star. It's a great place to play and live."
